- Instant digital download, nothing is shipped
- Works in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
- One row per quilt, typed at the counter: client, quilt, received and promised dates, top size, quilting, backing and batting. Each quilt gets its job number
- Priced from the quilt size with your own price list: per square inch or foot (or metric), batting by the yard, binding by the inch, extras, minimums and a rush charge
- Backing and batting checked against the top plus your allowances; shop batting and wide backing worked out from your roll widths
- A queue in work order: what is overdue, likely late or ready for pickup, with estimated ready dates from your work days and hours (estimates, not promises)
- A printable job ticket with a label strip for the quilt bag, drop-off receipts and invoices with your terms (one page, Letter or A4)
- Deposits, payments and refunds you record, with each job's and each client's balance
- Dated prices: add new rates with a start date. Older jobs keep using their earlier price rows, as long as you don't edit those rows
- Inches or centimeters, your currency, 4 color sets and your own words for the labels
- Made to work on a phone too
Every quilt, from the counter to pickup
When a quilt comes in, type one row: the client, the quilt, the dates, the top size and the work. The file prices it from the size and your own price list, checks that the backing and batting are big enough, and gives it a job number. Print a job ticket for the quilt bag and a drop-off receipt for the client. Each day the Queue lists the open jobs in work order, with what is overdue, what might run late and when the work should be done. At pickup, record the payment and print the invoice.
How it works

- Take in the quiltOn Jobs, at the counter: client, quilt, received and promised dates, top size, quilting, backing and batting. The details can wait.
- Print the ticket and receiptJob Ticket: pick the job number, print, and pin the label strip to the quilt bag. Receipt: a drop-off receipt for the client.
- Work from the QueueChange the Stage as the quilt moves. At pickup, record the payment on Payments and print an invoice from Receipt.

Questions
Does it text or email my clients?
No. It shows who to call and what is ready, and it prints tickets, receipts and invoices. You contact your clients yourself.
Does it take card payments?
No. You take payments the way you do now and record each deposit, payment or refund. The file keeps every job's and client's balance.
How does it price a quilt?
From the top size and the price row in force on the job's received date: the quilting by area (with its minimum), batting by the length off the roll, binding by the inch around the quilt, thread and extras, and a rush charge if you add one. An agreed price can be typed for custom work.
Are the ready dates promises?
No, they are estimates. They come from the hours each job needs (from your speed for each quilting price, or the hours you type), your work days and hours, and your days off. A firm date you promised is marked on the ticket and receipt.
My prices are changing. What do I do?
Add a new price row with the date it starts. Never edit a price row already used by jobs. The formulas are live, so old invoices are not frozen. Save every issued receipt and invoice as a PDF.
Can I use centimeters?
Yes. Choose inches or centimeters when you set up. Each price row can be per square inch, square foot, square centimeter or square meter, or per inch, yard, centimeter or meter.
Does it calculate sales tax?
Only if you add a tax row with your own rate and mark the taxed prices. It is a simple calculation, not a tax invoice; check your local rules. The file does the math with your own figures and is not tax, legal or accounting advice.
Do I need Microsoft Excel?
No. Google Sheets is free with a Google account; on a phone, use the free Google Sheets app. If you prefer Excel, the Excel files are included too: a blank file and an example.
How do I get my copy in Google Sheets?
Open the PDF you download and tap a button: a blank copy or the example. Then tap "Use template". A copy is saved in your own Google Drive.
How do the ticket and receipts print?
On Letter or A4, one page each. In Excel, use File > Print. In Google Sheets, the line above the page names the cells to print: type them in the Name box, then File > Print > Selected cells.
What happens when the file is full?
It has room for 1,000 jobs, 300 clients, 3,000 payment lines and 120 price rows. Then start a new copy with a new job number prefix (for example Q27) and keep the old file as your archive.
