Your month at a glance
Type what you plan for each category and the actual amounts: money received, set aside or spent. Enter one total for each category yourself. The section totals, progress bars and Left to spend then calculate automatically. On Bills, Debts and Expenses a red amount shows where you spent more than you planned, and a light-red box marks an entry to fix, such as a missing name or an amount typed as text.
Start in 3 easy steps
- Set it upOn Settings, pick your currency and type the month. On Budget, rename the categories if you like and type what you plan for each one.
- Type your amountsDuring the month, type the actual amount next to each category: money received, set aside or spent. The totals and bars update by themselves.
- See what is leftLeft to spend shows your recorded income minus the savings, bills, expenses and debts you entered. It is not your bank balance. On Bills, Debts and Expenses, a red amount means you spent more than you planned; "no plan" means an amount with no plan.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There is nothing to pay, now or later.
Do I need Microsoft Excel?
No. Google Sheets is free with a Google account; on a phone, use the free Google Sheets app. If you prefer Excel, the Excel files are included too: a blank file and an example.
How do I get my copy in Google Sheets?
Open the PDF you download and tap a button: a blank copy or an example. Then tap "Use template". A copy is saved in your own Google Drive.
What do I do next month?
Save a copy of the file first to keep this month, then change the month on Settings and clear the amounts.
Which currencies can I use?
Any. Pick one from the list on Settings or type your own currency sign. Amounts show two decimals, and there is no exchange-rate conversion.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Open your copy in the Google Sheets or Excel phone app. The Budget page is one column, so you can type your amounts right there. Scroll right for the bars.
